This journey began during my deep dive into permaculture and my growing fascination with medicinal plants. It all started with a simple yet powerful creation — a Dandelion Salve made from flowers lovingly gathered at my family’s home in Bulgaria.

The inspiration to create a natural sunscreen came when my eldest son was born with Facial Infiltrating Lipomatosis, a rare condition that makes his skin especially sensitive to the sun. Living on my beautiful island of Puerto Rico, I couldn’t find a natural option that met our needs — so I set out to make one myself.

That’s how Mother Flower was born — from love, curiosity, and the desire to protect and nourish. Today, my mission is to make our natural sunscreen available to everyone seeking gentle, effective sun care made with intention.

Many of the flowers used in our salves are hand-harvested from the rich soil of Bulgaria, and all of our products are carefully handcrafted in Santurce, Puerto Rico.
